"TORCHES" is a new venture for the School for 2008. We have been guided to set up a support and development group for *Lightworkers, Spiritual Seekers, Starseeds and Angelics currently in incarnation on Earth. It will meet every Friday evening, except for Bank Holidays, at the Rooper Hall, Victoria Park Road, Winton, Bournemouth, between 7.30 and 9.30 pm (7.15 and 9.45 pm for the Ascended Masters Series on the last Friday of each month). Hilary was asked to pass this on to all Lightworkers:

The Group's purpose is to provide teachings, channellings, discussion groups, peer support and healing and growth opportunities for all those involved actively in *Light-work in and around the Bournemouth area (Dorset, UK). We hope it will also enable *Lightworkers to socialise and meet like-minded people and make new friends, as Light-work can be an isolating and lonely occupation! It will also provide time and the opportunity to share ideas, experience and expertise between us for the benefit and progression of all. Each session will carry a charge of £5 per evening, except for the Ascended Master certificated sessions, which will carry a charge of £10 per evening. Hot drinks and biscuits are included.

who OR WHAT is a *lightworker?

If you are reading this, then the answer is probably YOU! For those who may be confused or "put off" by the term "Lightworker", we use this title to describe all those who are on a spiritual pathway of self-discovery and growth - regardless of whereabouts on their path they are. We all have to begin somewhere, and for many the actual opening of the doorway and the first steps are the most important. Sometimes we don't even realise there is a door, or that it has been opened! Support and guidance at this stage is often welcome - indeed  it continues to be so at every step, especially when the path twists and turns or follows difficult terrain! You certainly don't have to be an experienced Lightworker to come along to these evenings, nor do you have to attend every session. If there is a topic that interests you, and you merely want to hear or learn more about just that, then you are welcome to attend.
Djwhal Kuhl describes a Lightworker as "....an independent being whose nature is Light and whose activities and work must therefore be in the nature of Light..." You do not need to follow any specific religious or mystical path to attend this group, as we consider spirituality and its expression to be a very personal matter, and unconnected to any specific form of organised religion. We feel that there are many paths back to God / Source / Creator (or whatever term you like to use), and that the path you take is not important, but the way in which you travel that path IS.

background to the group:

The setting up of this venture follows the grounding of the Diamond Light in January 2008, and the group's name comes courtesy of Archaeon (Archangel) Uriel. In our Archangelic Course his attunement chair was graced with torches, one mounted upon each of the chair's uprights. It is one of these torches we have chosen for the group's motif. Each torch is carved from a massive diamond, cut in the shape of a flaming brand - like those that once lit the walls of ancient castles. Each torch is filled with a blazing white flame that fills the inside and gives off an intense white Light. This Light radiates out through the sides, strengthened and amplified by the diamond crystal that holds it, allowing us to see and feel the energy of the "Diamond Light". This lights the path that we may choose to take in order for our soul to complete its journey and for us to become a Master of our incarnated Self - the process we know as Ascension.

When we were working preparing that course, Uriel gave us this message, which applies also to you, as you read this today:

Dear One! I have been watching as you have taken each step along the path - some steps more sure than others. It is time now for you to move forwards with confidence and joy and to have focus so you may understand what it is that you need to do; where it is that you need to go; and what will give you pleasure and a sense of purpose and accomplishment in your life. It is time for you to draw yourself up and assume your rightful place in the world as a Co-creator with God and with all the other evolved Beings of Light that work with the creative process. It is time to take responsibility for your Self and your own actions and to know that what you create is your responsibility and yours alone. It is no longer the obligation or duty of anyone other than your Self. In truth it never has been. Now too it is time for you to see and understand that, and to realise that all has come as a result of what you have wished for. So let your heart be strong and your mind be steady, for you have the courage to step out and take your place in the world. You are the architect of your own destiny. You have my Love and Blessing and the love and support of the Angelic Kingdoms of Light, throughout all times and dimensions. We are with you at your side - to support, encourage and counsel you always.

The flame held deep within the torch's heart is the Resurrection Flame, which if you could see into its' brilliance would be seen to hold pearlescent tones within the white. Like the torch, each and every Lightworker holds the Resurrection Flame within their heart, where it encircles the three-fold Divine flames of Will, Love and Understanding, boosting their energies and helping to activate and regulate the flow of spiritual energies between all the cells in our body and Source. The same Flame is also used by Uriel to perform a similar role within greater masses, such as communities and nations as well as the mineral, plant and animal kingdoms. It brings to all things renewal, rebirth and restoration and a certainty of who we are as eternal Beings, bringing also a sense of rhythm and beauty and trust in the flow of life. The crystal we know as the diamond carries the energy of courage and Light. It can help focus consciousness on manifesting what one seeks to create - which is very much the intrinsic role of Uriel as co-creator. It also finds the Light within us and then radiates that Light outward to illuminate darkness, density, difficulty and illusion in all their forms.

The second Friday in every month will be devoted to healing, and those Light-workers qualified in any hands-on healing modalities (including all forms of Reiki, spiritual healing etc.) are welcome to turn up to give and receive healing.

The last Friday in every month will be devoted to a series of learnings about and with selected Ascended Masters, suited to those who would like to learn more about the Masters.

Every other Friday will be devoted to learning, discussion, guided meditation and talks on a wide range of subjects, all relevant to providing us with tools and support in our personal development and vibrational growth. These sessions will be suitable for Light-workers of all degrees of capability, and we hope will be of interest and value to those new to Light-work, as well as the "old-hands"!

FACILITATORS:

The sessions will be planned and led by Mark and Hilary, and we are pleased that Carol Powell and her twin flame, Xi Rah, have agreed to join us in running and facilitating the group and provide some of the teachings. Carol is a graduate of our School, and an experienced teacher and healer in her own right. Xi Rah works from the Higher Planes, and frequently joins with her (and us) to assist in her and our work! We see our role as being that of supporting the group, the energy and the space and supplying appropriate input and advice where it is required or requested. All sessions will be overseen by us, but we would remind everyone that attends of their own responsibilities in exercising both discernment and care of themselves and their energy when in the space. How much of what is presented to you that you choose to accept and work with is up to you, and those who are more experienced in Light work or Energy work will be expected to take more personal and group responsibility than those who are newer to the work.
