about the "school OF INNER LIGHT"

We founded the "School of Inner Light" as a consequence of studying and working with a variety of energy, healing and spiritual  disciplines over the last 10 - 15 years. Our own learning in the esoteric field and the desire to pass on what we have learnt to others has resulted in us taking on a more active "teaching" role, although of course the "learning" never stops! It seems that the more research we do as the courses we offer expand, the more we find out. And also the more we teach, the more we learn from our students - which is just as it should be of course! Djwhal Kuhl pointed out to us that "knowledge is a wheel, and wisdom is a circle. And thus as we teach, so do we learn, and as we learn, so do we teach."
Our Guides also recently told us "Once the teacher has passed on all their knowledge to another, the other may take that knowledge and change it and return it back to the teacher, so that cycle upon cycle is repeated for all, and those who are guided now guide and those who guide are now guided."

the design of our websites:

The design behind our web pages and logos contains much symbolism. The main colours we have chosen to use throughout are turquoise and navy. Both are shades of blue - the colour related to the throat chakra and communication, with hints of green (the heart / love) and indigo (the 3rd eye / intuition). We have chosen to put all channelled information in violet - the colour of the crown chakra and our connection to our Higher Selves.

The background wallpaper for each page is composed of many silver spirals, silver being the energy of the soul. Somewhere in all our logos for the School, Therapies and Lightworkers sites, "*stars*" feature. I was reading a book recently by Michael Schneider called "A Beginners Guide to Constructing the Universe" (ISBN 0-06-092671-6) and found he had some very relevant things to say concerning the meanings behind stars and spirals, which I quote here:
"When we see stars and spirals we know that there is life and excellence, motion and transformation..... The lesson of the spiral is that every "thing" is a process - a dynamic "energy event".....With its inherent harmony the spiral is a metaphor for our inevitable transformation within..... beckoning us as a symbol of consciousness and the way we live. Our own inner spiral process whirls us into the mystery of the infinite within us..... In the spirals principles of self-replication, self-accumulation, self-recurrence and self-similarity..... the recurring key is the word "self". The message of the spiral is growth and the transformation of our Self."
He goes on to say, concerning the purpose of the spiral:
"The centre within us is the truth of our Higher Self, the reality deepest within, which each of us calls "I"..... The rhythmic interplay between the impulse to divide ourselves from our centre and the yearning that is expressed in our longing to return is found in the experience of constantly searching for and finding meaning in our lives. The interplay between these two forces manifests itself in the world as a curve. That is why the transformative path is characterised by a spiral..... When we grow we arrive at the same place we were before, but we arrive more experienced, higher on the circle.... "
We see this path of self-discovery as being the very thing we and the teachings of the School aim to support and encourage.

What our name and logo is about:

In numerology the name "School of Inner Light" equates to Master Number 11. Eleven is the first Master number, and has a special relevance on an intuitive level. It is called the Master Psychic and suggests enhanced psychic capabilities and working at finer levels of intuition. It is also connected with Spiritual Truths and the concept of true Brotherhood - that we are all a part of the Whole, with no dimensional boundaries.

Our logo shows a person stepping through an open doorway into the darkness and reaching up towards a bright star in the night sky. To us this represents one opening a door and having the courage to take a leap of faith and step through into the unknown, with the aspiration to reach the heavens. Life is full of doorways: some are open, some closed, but there always are doorways, even if we have to search for them. Sometimes too we need to be fearless and have the bravery to face what is unfamiliar or invisible in order to reach our goals.

We all make choices in life, and some choices we may perceive on reflection as being "good" or "bad". Or we may perceive that other people make our choices for us. But in fact at some level we experience in our lives exactly what we have chosen to and, even if we cannot control the actual event, we do have the free will to choose how we react to each and every situation. And this is how we learn - all learning is progress and it is often the case that we learn the most from the least pleasant lessons! Sometimes we need to experience what we don't want in our lives in order to know what we do. And of course there are those times when we experience just what we need, and our hearts truly sing. 

When each of us begins our journey on the spiritual path, a spark is re-kindled within us. And as we take each step on our way back home to Source / God (or whatever your understanding of this is) our "Inner Light" becomes brighter. And eventually we discover that the answers we have been reaching for are not "out there", but are within us. It is this journey to find your own "Inner Light" that we are here to support and facilitate.

"As streams of consciousness you retain your connections to all places you have been or experienced in your various manifestations of life forms, regardless of dimension or plane of reality. The constraints of linear time will often have little or no bearing on what may be experienced or reflected through these connections. Indeed, we (like Michael Schneider) have found that the true path to healing and growth - and so the way through which we will achieve our Ascension (both personal and planetary) is the pathway of the Self: of self-understanding, self-healing, self-acceptance and self-love. These precepts are the foundation and cornerstones of many of our courses and workshops, and we find them to be emphasised to us in our research for those teachings time and again by our Guides and Teachers, who also wish those who work with us to reach the same understanding.

Mark & Hilary - Husband & Wife, Twin Flames & Soul Partners!

Hilary has been studying and working in the field of complementary therapies since 1993 and has qualified as a Crystal Healer, an Angelic Multi-dimensional healer, an Aromatherapist, an advanced EMF Balancing Technique® practitioner, an Usui and Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher, an Angelic Reiki Master Teacher and a Seichem and Cartouche Master Teacher. She has worked with crystals and essences for many years, and is a Graduate of the Institute of Crystal and Gem Therapists. She started working with Reiki in 1997, and received her first Master's initiations in early 2001. She has a Certificate in Emergency First Aid, holds an ITEC diploma with credit in Anatomy and Physiology, and is a member of IPTI (Independent Professional Therapists International). She holds a City & Guilds certificate for teaching adults, and teaches introductory classes in crystal healing and associated subjects for her local Adult Learning department.
Hilary is a clairaudient and conscious channel and has worked with crystals and Energy in many lifetimes. She works closely with the Higher Realms of Spirit, and is currently researching and developing several new courses and tools for personal and spiritual growth as we work towards Ascension. Mark has a natural affinity for working with crystals and with energies of all sorts, and his innate clairvoyance enables him to "see" energy matrices, colours and Beings in other dimensions (including personal Guides, animal totems and other Light Beings). Mark is a trance channel, conscious channel and proficient out-of-body traveller. He has had great experience in working with crystals and sacred geometry in past lives and brings this knowledge with him today to use in our work with developing crystal grids and templates for healing and transformative purposes. His work includes healing, scanning and accessing information, as well as rescue and other clearance work whilst in his soul body.
